Wyatt is a student at Wellston Private High School. He is a member of Safe House and a pupil of John Doe.

Appearance[]

Wyatt is a short student with short, messy sea green. His eyes are the same color, though they glow blue when his ability is active.

Personality[]

Wyatt demonstrated an eagerness to advance his combat skills, which outweighed his capacity. When put on the spot, he is quick to realize he is nowhere near ready for a real fight.

Plot[]

Discord[]

He was shown as one of the audience while Evie, Dylan, and John were playing New Texis Hold 'em.[1]

"Can you show us how to really mess someone up?"

Wyatt was a member of Safe House around the time Seraphina and John started giving fighting lessons. When John began instructing alone, he made them stick to practicing basic defensive stances. Wyatt spoke out against these humdrum drills one day and requested they move on to ability training. John tried to remind them that violated the guidelines of the dojo, but Dylan (rather awkwardly) echoed the desire to step things up. With the rest of the class soon rallying behind him, Wyatt reasoned that the real world is full of different abilities. It would thus be more practical to get some hands-on training against one another.

Elected!

John said nothing at first. Then, he menacingly glared at Wyatt while walking towards him. Literally pushed into the teacher's path by a "supporter", Wyatt was told that he would be getting the advanced training he asked for. He was told to point out the person in the room he was least likely to beat. Naturally, he pointed to John, who sighed and told him to pick the next in line. Nervously, he singled out Sherri. John pondered a bit and decided that it would be acceptable for what he had in mind. The class was to find a wide-open area in which the two could pit their abilities against each other. Wyatt was aghast, and protested that there was no way to beat the strongest of the disciples. John smiled and said he would learn his folly.

"It'll be as quick as ripping off a Band-aid. Which you will also need afterwards."

When they all got to one of the school courtyards the fighters took their places. Despite John's reassurances, Wyatt felt nothing but fear and regret for opening his big mouth. He noticed that Sherri had no trace of these emotions in her, a sure sign he would lose. John briefly explained the rules before signaling the start of the match. Sherri activated her ability and rushed at Wyatt, who instinctively began charging a counterattack. He fired, but Sherri sidestepped it without issue. The match ended after she thonked Wyatt in the noggin once. He reiterated his earlier vocation that such power was insurmountable with his predictable tactics. Sherri helped him up and told him he ought to adopt a more positive attitude. John, on the other hand, told Wyatt that knowing his attacks wouldn't have worked should have been reason enough not to try them in the first place. After copying Charge Shot, John told everybody to observe how he handled the fight. Wyatt was skeptical that his ability alone could get the job done.

As before, Sherri engaged first, but John dodged rather than try to counter immediately. In fact, he didn't charge up a shot at all until he threw Sherri off balance with one of the very techniques he had been trying to teach them. Wyatt was amazed that John won the fight just by tricking his opponent into thinking he would fire a shot. John concluded the demonstration by telling everyone that the drills he put them through were nothing to sneeze at. If they kept at it, then applied it to their abilities, then they could achieve great things. Lesson learned, Wyatt and the rest of the class went back to their usual practice.[2]

Powers & Abilities[]

Charge Shot: With focus, Wyatt is able to a beam from one palm. It's wide, but not inescapable. It can also be blocked, limiting its usefulness in a fight.

Physical Abilities[]

Wyatt is a novice martial artist. He hasn't fully grasped the fundamentals, like making sure his wrist is straight when throwing a punch.[2]
