UnOrdinary Wikia

Tarik was the Warden of Lovun Prison.

Appearance[]

Tarik is a tall, blue-haired, tan-skinned man. He has red eyes with narrow, slit-like pupils, and full lips. His hair is somewhat spikey and has a longer fringe that rests across his face. He is most commonly seen wearing his work attire, a dark blue suit that is an overcoat with a white shirt and black tie and a hat. His eyes glow a neon orange hue when using his ability. His speech bubbles are periwinkle.

Personality[]

Tarik comes off as a stern man who takes his responsibilities as Warden very seriously. He has little tolerance for inmates who break the rules he sets, especially his number one rule of not using their abilities. However, he has shown a more amiable side when interacting with fellow Bureau officers such as Kassandra.

Plot[]

Tarik is first seen after a fight breaks out between Blyke and three other inmates, which leads to Blyke activating his ability and triggering an alarm. When he comes upon the group, he uses his ability to immobilize them with a glare, lecturing them on misusing the recreational time they were given rather than reflecting on their misdeeds. He punishes them to no recreational time for a month, and also confines Blyke to his cell for 24 hours as punishment for using his ability.[1]

When Kassandra pays a visit to Lovun Prison to check on Rein, Tarik greets her and escorts her to a meeting room where the two can speak. While on the way, Tarik asks why someone as busy as her didn’t send a representative, and Kass answers that she feels obligated to show up in person since Rein is unjustly imprisoned, which Tarik comments is very considerate of her.[2]

While working one night, Tarik was informed via radio that the southern wing of the prison experienced a brief power outage. Knowing that the security room is in the southern wing, Tarik radios to see if anything is amiss and also sends a team to inspect the generators. When they report the generators are undamaged, Tarik wonders how the power went down, and instructs Colt to visit security to confirm all is well. However, when Colt radios back, he is attacked during his attempt to report an issue, and Tarik yells for backup to be sent to security immediately.[3]

Taking action, Tarik gathered several guards and headed for the prison’s western wing and cam across John & Kuyo, who had taken down a number of guards. Paralyzing them instantly, he ordered his subordinates to subdue them. With his amplified Lightning, John attempted to mentally aim his attacks in Tarik’s direction, but Tarik was shielded by two of his guards, and he ordered two others to attack them. Suddenly, their shield was broken by the combined efforts of Blyke and Remi, and the distraction freed John and Kuyo from his grip.[4] He quickly paralyzed Kuyo once again and ordered his subordinates to block John’s impending assault, knowing the boy was running out of aura, but when all 3 were electrified by Remi, John landed several blade strikes on Tarik, one of which blinded his left eye and brought the warden to his knees.[5]

As the group of renegades attempted to flee, Tarik used his converted Regeneration to heal himself enough to get back on his feet and paralyzed the four of them. When more guards arrived, Tarik ordered them to attack the group. However, once again he was thwarted by the arrival of their friends, this time by Seraphina, who froze time around him and kicked him into a wall, knocking Tarik unconscious with a second kick for good measure.[5]

Powers & Abilities[]

Tarik Stats

Paralysis: Tarik is capable of immobilizing as many as 4 high-tier targets, at least 2 of whom were god-tiers with a higher level than himself, with a mere glare. He was capable of doing so despite being injured at the time.

Converted Abilities[]

Regeneration: Tarik is capable of healing his own injuries at an accelerated rate. However, certain injuries, such as to his eye, may be beyond his capability to regenerate.
