Paralysis is a powerful ability that allows the user to root their target to the spot.
Description[]
Paralysis grants its user the capability to render their target immobile, without any physical contact needed. While the target could move their head around, they would not be able to use their feet and hands, in order to prevent them from escaping or using their ability to retaliate.
People under the influence of this ability were bathed in the glow of red to dark orange aura.[1][2][3][4]
Usage[]
- Mass Manipulation: The primary usage of this ability allows its users to freeze multiple people. This is mainly seen when Tarik incapacitated prisoners or vigilantes, stopping them instantly.[1][4]
- Ability Locking: Users can also temporarily cripple their target, reducing them to sitting ducks.[3] However, this only applies to those who require physical movement to use their ability.
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
Paralysis can be used to mentally restrain someone to powerful effect, to which even God-tiers such as John and Kuyo fell victim to it. In the event of the user losing half of their eyesight, they could still paralyze their target, although not as potent as before.
Unfortunately, it requires the user to maintain constant eye contact with the target, or at the very least keep them on their line of sight. It also leaves the user out in the open, causing them being susceptible to attacks from their blind side, which is why they had to be accompanied by minimum one other person to cover them.
The effect of the ability wears off once the user is subdued.[4]
