Illena is a student of Wellston who is often seen alongside Wenqi. She is part of a group of strong mid-tiers who bully low-tiers. She is also responsible for holding Seraphina captive, sparking the events of the Capture Arc.
Appearance[]
Illena has maroonish-terracotta hair which is in a bob cut and fair skin. She wears a typical girls uniform without the vest. Her eyes are sky blue and her eyes glow the same color when her ability is activated. Her speech bubbles are pink.
Personality[]
Like every mid-tier, Illena was often lived her days in fearing those who are stronger than her and was forced to listen to the higher tiers. Because of this, Illena has deep-rooted animosity against the higher tiers and detests how society is dictated by those "born gifted."[2]
However, Illena uses bullying as an outlet for these suppressed frustrations, making her a hypocrite who is as tyrannical as she believes the high tiers she despises to be. She along with Tanner, Wenqi, Krolik, and Gavin have solidified themselves as Wellston's strongest mid-tiers, forcing weaker students to do their bidding.[3] While holding a powerless Seraphina captive, Illena showed herself to be particularly sadistic, taking great joy in humiliating the former Ace; other bullies, such as Krolik, even deemed her methods to be "excessive."[2]

Illena, along with Tanner and Wenqi cornered John in hopes to use him for "target practice," but were interrupted when Doctor Darren scared them.[4]

Illena was later seen cornering John yet again in hopes to use him for target practice and was shocked when she saw John easily break Tanner's arm. Out of rage, she and Wenqi charged towards the "cripple." Without too much effort, the four bullies easily overpowered John. Out of rage, Illena attempted to punch John, but she would end up punching Arlo's Barrier. As Illena was aided by Wenqi, she witnessed Wellston's King force Tanner into submission. [1]

Capture[]
Illena kicks Seraphna’s ass
After facing humiliating defeat at the hands of a powerless Seraphina, Hower and numerous other bullies ambushed Seraphina. Illena was the ringleader of the bully group and had the brilliant idea of torturing Seraphina at an abandoned house.[2] She was seen alongside Wenqi, Krolik, and Hower, dragging the Ace away.[6]
Once within the safe confines of the abandoned house, Illena destroyed Seraphina's phone and began to torture the now-powerless Ace.[7] Illena took great joy in physically beating Seraphina, and expressed her lot in life by mercilessly showing the former god-tier how lower tiers were treated. Wenqi then suggested to Illena that they should give a chance to fight for her freedom, an idea that Illena agreed to. Without her abilities, Seraphina was easily dominated by Illena. It took zero effort for Illena to put Sera in her place and humiliate her. Sera then fought Misa but lost to her as well and was left in the abandoned house overnight.[8]
Illena grabs Seraphina
The bullies reconvened in the abandoned house the next day, and Illena continued to mock Seraphina. Not fully satisfied with last night, Illena proceeded to humiliate Seraphina further and attempted to get the former Ace to say "I am the most worthless student in Wellston, and I will act as such."[9] Seraphina refused to say those words, and Illena continued to bring physical harm to the point where her fellow mid-tiers saw her methods as "excessive." However, Illena continued to justify her actions and with Wenqi by her side, she continued to express her hatred towards the high-tiers. However, Illena and the rest of the bullies were caught in the act as Arlo and Elaine enter the house to rescue Seraphina.
With Arlo reporting the incident to the headmaster, Illena had nothing left to lose, and in her anger and frustration, she attempts to attack Arlo, but is badly damaged by his Barrier.
Illena is the first to be targeted
Illena would soon find that her already grim circumstances would only become more hopeless as a masked attacker entered the house[2] and knocked her unconscious with a single kick.[10]
Joker[]
Illena and her named cohorts were punished with a two week suspension. This gave her plenty of time to recover from her injury.[11] When she returned to school, she and everybody involved with the kidnapping incident chose to lie low.[12]
Powers & Abilities[]
Strength: Illena's ability, Strength, grants her an increase in her physical strength and can make opponents cough up blood by simply striking them. However she doesn't posses much natural fighting talent, as John was easily able to outclass her using his bare hands.
Relationships[]
Wenqi[]
Wenqi and Illena are almost always seen together. The two enjoy gossiping and picking on weaker students together. Wenqi is very loyal to her, even to the point of going along with her questionable plans and shifting blame away from her. Wenqi is also shown to attack others who attack her friend, such as Joker.
Tanner[]
Tanner is seeming the leader of a group of bullies that Illena hangs out with. Illena generally goes along with his plans of bullying others. She seems loyal to him, as she attacks John for disrespecting or hurting him. However, she didn't tell Tanner about her plans to kidnap Seraphina for some unknown reason.
Rouker[]
Rouker is a friend of Illena who likes to bully alongside her.
Misa[]
Misa is a friend of Illena's who likes to bully alongside her. However, Misa has her limits with Illena's bullying and calls out her methods as somewhat overkill.
Hower[]
Hower typically sucks up to Illena and her group of friends. However, he will sell her out if push comes to shove. It is implied that he gave her the idea to kidnap Seraphina.
Seraphina[]
Illena shows a somewhat psychotic hatred towards Seraphina. She used to bow down to her, though more out of fear than respect. When Seraphina loses her powers, she takes the opportunity to kidnap and torture her, both verbally and physically. Of course, Seraphina in turn dislikes her as well.
Arlo[]
Illena shows a deep-found hatred towards Arlo. She views Arlo as a hypocrite who only care about himself and the hierarchy. Sadly, she can not do anything about it due to his status and the fact that he has beaten on two occasions. Unable to take anymore of him, she eventually breaks down and scorns out for not caring about mid-tiers. Arlo, in turn, dislikes her as well due to her treatment of weaker students.
John[]
Like many mid-tiers, she views John as a punching bag. She has ganged up on him on two different occasions and tried to beat him unconscious the second time. Eventually, a masked John brutalized her for her treatment of Seraphina and possibly himself. It is likely she later found out that John was Joker after her suspension was over since she chose to lie low.
