Dodgeball is a Bonus Story featured in the first volume of the physical edition of unORDINARY. The story takes place during the freshman year of several protagonists of Wellston Private High School, before the events of the main series.
The first years are in the middle of a good old-fashioned game of dodgeball. It's not a game they'll be able to enjoy next year, when they'll be capable of doing some real damage. Blyke lobs a ball with great force, and pats himself on the back when he hits Elaine square in the face. She hobbles off the playing field, while her teammate Remi commends her performance. It's down to a 2 vs 2 match: Blyke and Seraphina against Remi and Isen. The latter team try and talk strategy when a thin beam makes a beeline for Isen. He tries dodging it with his own ability. Not only does it still graze him, but he moves into the path of a high-speed ball. Blyke's sneaky maneuver really grinds Isen's gears. Reflexively, Remi fries the dodgeball with Lightning, reducing it to ash. Blyke and Remi argue about unfair ability usage until their gym teacher breaks it up. He mandates that dodgeballs are the only things to be fired across the room henceforth.
To his annoyance, Blyke sees that Seraphina is reading a textbook in the middle of the game. He asks her to help, but is ignored. He petulantly throws a ball at her, which she dodges with a lazy tilt. She turns to him and coolly tells him off for the friendly fire. Blyke starts to shoot his mouth off at her, which was just the distraction the other team needed. He's beaned by two dodgeballs, and Seraphina adds insult to injury by saying he ought to have been paying attention. Smarting, humiliated, and grouchy, Blyke exits the playing area. Isen and Remi high-five each other in congratulations. Seeing she's the last person on her team, Seraphina deigns to get involved. She gives her textbook for Blyke to hold while she picks up the balls that took him out of the running. Her opponents are confident, but that's because they're not yet familiar with what's she's capable of. Time slows around Seraphina. While the trio gradually grow alarmed, she hurls both balls with deadly accuracy. Remi and Isen each take a major hit powerful enough to bodily eject them from the arena. Blyke grouses that she could have done that at any point and scored their team an easy victory. Seraphina reasons that nobody else would have gotten to play if she had. Seeing her point, he returns her book to her. Seraphina gets the teacher's permission to excuse herself to go study now that her phys-ed quota has been filled. Thus, the friendly game ends with Remi and Isen out cold and flat on their backs, while the gym teacher and Blyke try to wake them up.
