Conjure: Vines is a versatile ability that allows the user to generate and manipulate vines of energy.
Description[]
Conjure: Vines allows its user to create prehensile vine-like constructs; these generated constructs are flexible and can be used to tie and restrain opponents but can also be used offensively[1]. The use of this ability is not limited to creating mere vines, but also forming needles or even stakes.
The vines generated by this ability glow green, regardless of the user's signature color.
Usage[]
- Energy Vines: The primary usage of this ability allows its users to create and manipulate the vines as they please. The vines can be used as whips to attack foes or as restraints to trap foes[1][2].
- Spike Generation: Vine conjurers can also create spikes or stakes of varying width and length with their ability and launch them from afar[2].
- Electro-vines (John only):
- Electro-spikes (John only): By combining the abilities Conjure: Vines and Lightning, John can project multiple electric spikes that deal massive amounts of damage.[3]
- Electro-vines (John only): By combining Conjure: Vines with Lightning, John can whip or grab an opponent with a lightning-enhanced rope.[3]
- Electro-vine Barrier (John only): By combining Conjure: Vines with Lightning and Barrier, John can produce a lightning-enhance barrier to control his vines. With this, he can use the electric vines to both attack and surround the barrier.[4]
Strengths and Weaknesses[]
Conjure: Vines appears as a versatile and powerful ability, capable of restraining elite-tiers like Isen if needed and attacking foes from a distance. They can also form through walls to restrain targets on the other side. However, they cannot pierce strong defense oriented abilities such as Arlo's Barrier. In addition, the ability does not appear to have a strong defensive use on its own.
Notes & Trivia[]
- As a placeholder this ability was named Energy Ropes by the mods.
- In Chapter 205 , Terrence listed this ability in his personal document as "Vine Conjure/Manipulation", making it the first time this ability has ever been referred to by any name in the story since its debut 120 chapters prior.
- Chapter 224 would give this ability a canon name, Conjure: Vines, 139 chapters after the ability's debut, and 164 chapters after Cecile's debut!
- It is unknown how this ability works passively, despite being the ability of a high-tier.
