We gotta hold the line until Remi gets Blyke out.

Synopsis[]
While Remi goes ahead to find Blyke’s cell, John & Kuyo prepare to hold off a group of prison guards. John’s anger begins to rise, but Kuyo reminds him to conserve his strength since they don’t know how many guards they’ll have to fight off, and he prepares to fight with Remi’s Lightning and Isen’s Hunter. The first two guards charge the pair, but are brought down just as quickly as they came. Suddenly, a third guard uses her ability to deploy a flashbang; Kuyo is only momentarily stunned, but John is severely affected due to his senses being enhanced by Hunter, and he begins bleeding from the eyes and ears. A fourth guard tries to take advantage of the opening to use a chain ability to restrain them both; Kuyo manages to block the chains aimed at him with a sword, but John, still in agony from the flashbang, is unable to dodge the chain. However, even while wrapped up, he is able to use Lightning to electrocute the officer and Kuyo cuts him free. John is forced to take a moment to recover and tells Kuyo to get rid of the flashbang guard before she can hit them again; Kuyo manages to take the flashbang and another guard down, but his sword is blocked by a guard with a shield ability. As two other guards move in to attack him, Kuyo calls for John to help him, and John rushes forward, now having also copied Kuyo’s Blademaster, and quickly dispatches all three guards. Kuyo chastises John for taking so long, and John quips back that Kuyo was in his way before nearly throwing up, still not recovered from the flashbang.
Suddenly, John senses an incoming attack, and barely manages to get them both out of the way of a series of energy beams fired from the wing’s second floor by a group of officers. They fire again, but John & Kuyo use their swords to block the attacks. Kuyo throws a few daggers at two of the guards, creating an opening for him to jump up to the second level and knock them out. He quickly takes out a third, and John follows suit by jumping up and taking down 2 more before they can fire at Kuyo from behind, impressing the blue-haired swordsman. More guards arrive to assist their fallen comrades, and Kuyo notices that the group includes healers tending to the injured, which John is glad to hear; he immediately copies one of their abilities to heal his own injuries, declaring that now they can fight however long they need to.
Inside the western wing, Remi races down the hall looking for cell 1465 where Blyke is located. She encounters two guards but quickly takes them down and takes off again. The other inmates realize she’s not a real guard and start asking her to free them, but she ignores them and speeds off. Meanwhile, in his cell, Blyke is so afflicted by Keon-induced flashbacks that he hasn’t noticed the alarms going off. Suddenly he hears a banging on his cell door; he wonders if he’s hallucinating, as while he can’t make out the words, he thinks he’s just heard Remi’s voice.
