Synopsis[]
John, Seraphina, Remi, Isen, and Kuyo have infiltrated Lovun Prison, determined to liberate Blyke. Sera & John knock some guards unconscious and the group steals their uniforms. Inside the prison, they split into 2 groups; John, Remi, and Kuyo head to the generator room, where John & Remi use Lightning to overload the generators and temporarily shut off power to the part of the prison where the security room is located. Once the power is down and the aura sensors are offline, Seraphina & Isen break into the room, finding 4 officers inside; Isen manages to knock one of the officers out after a brief struggle, only to see that Sera has effortlessly subdued the others. They put them in a locker and commandeer the room. When the power comes back on, Isen prepares to put the camera by the administrative office on a loop so nobody notices anything wrong.
In his office, Warden Tarik is at his desk when he receives a radio report of a 30-second outage in the southern wing. Realizing that’s where security is located, Tarik orders a team to inspect the generators, then calls security to see if there was any unusual activity during the outage. Isen answers the call and pretends to be a prison official. He assures Tarik that everything is running normally, and Tarik buys the act.
Outside the administrative office, John, Remi, and Kuyo are standing in front of the camera above the door. Seeing them on his feed, Isen nods the camera up and down to signal them to make their move; upon entry, they quickly subdue the 3 officers inside. Using a pre-programmed flash drive, Remi gains access to the database and finds Blyke’s file, which confirms his location: the western wing, cell 1465. The three set off immediately. Meanwhile, in the generator room, the prison officers radio Tarik that they can’t find anything wrong with the generators, which makes Tarik wonder what caused the power to go down. He orders one of his officers, Colt, to visit the security room and confirm that nothing’s been tampered with.
John, Remi, and Kuyo reach a guard checkpoint at the entrance to the western wing, where they are stopped by a guard at a checkpoint. The group presents ID badges forged by Spectre, but the guard’s schedule doesn’t have anyone due to make rounds at this time, so he calls security to double check. Isen receives the call and once again plays his part convincingly, and the others are allowed past the checkpoint.
Suddenly, Isen senses 3 prison guards approaching the security room; moments later, Colt and two others enter. Colt asks if they’ve seen anything suspicious; Sera & Isen both confirm they haven’t, but Colt becomes suspicious when he realizes they don’t look familiar. He begins to ask for their IDs, but before he can check them, the guards locked in the closet start banging on the door. Tarik radios Colt for an update, but before he can finish responding, Colt’s face is slammed into the wall from behind by Seraphina after she knocks out the other guards. Hearing the commotion, Tarik yells for backup to be sent to security. Sera tells Isen they need to leave, but before they can run, Isen notices that Colt is not only still awake, but getting back up, although bleeding from the forehead. He activates his ability to trigger the aura sensors, and Sera & Isen flee the security room just as more guards arrive to give chase.
The prison’s PA system announces that there are intruders disguised as officers; in the western wing, John, Remi, and Kuyo hear the announcement and alarms and realize their cover is blown. As the doors ahead start closing, they make a run for the wing where Blyke’s cell is, dispatching a pair of guards in the process. The last door shuts on them, but Remi manages to get through alone before the bars close. John tells her to keep going while he and Kuyo hold off the guards, and she races off to find Blyke’s cell. When John & Kuyo turn around, they find over half a dozen guards ordering them to stand down, but the two instead prepare to fight.
