We're not leaving anyone behind.
- Seraphina
This is the 346th episode of unORDINARY, and the final episode of both the Uprising Arc and Season 2.
Synopsis[]
John wakes up in a bedroom at Cameron’s home, surprised to be alive. Seeing a set of clothes, he gets dressed and steps out into the hallway, wondering where he is. Hearing voices, he goes towards them. In the other room, Seraphina is criticizing Cameron for his excessive alcohol consumption, warning that it will damage his liver, but he dismissively tells her to mind her own business and states he will just heal it. Marisol says she’s been trying to get him to take it easy for years, but he won’t listen. Bluntly, Seraphina asks what Cameron is running from, surprising him and leading him to ask why she cares, to which she answers that he’s the only family John has left. At that moment, John enters the room, and tearfully reunites with Seraphina, while Marisol silently urges Cameron not to interrupt them.
Outside by Cameron’s pool, John asks if Seraphina is safe to be here. Seraphina assures him that she, Leilah, and Darren have things with Spectre under control, and that the Bureau is less watchful in this area. She says that Kayden brought her here and filled her in on what happened with William, the Bureau’s raid on Wellston, and John’s attempted suicide by combat. She tells him to never throw his life away like that again, and he apologizes for upsetting her. Seraphina tells John about how the Arlo, Remi, Blyke, and Isen came back for him and were able to get him out, and that Remi found Cameron’s card and he came to heal him. John asks how they are, and Seraphina reveals that while Remi and Isen are safe and in hiding, Arlo and Blyke have been captured, and John resolves to help them. Seraphina states she’s already asked Neil, Leilah’s boss, to lend them Spectre’s resources, and that they won’t leave anyone behind.
Inside later, John sits on the couch while Seraphina sleeps. He wonders if she’s been taking care of herself, as she has circles under her eyes. Noticing Cameron upstairs, he visits his uncle’s office and thanks Cameron for saving his life. Cameron asks if Seraphina is John’s girlfriend and states that John’s behavior is calmer around her, which lets Cameron tolerate him; John silently calls him a prick. Cameron then gives John an urn with his father’s remains in them, giving John the choice of what to do with him. John decides to make that decision with his mother after he finds and rescues her, to which Cameron accedes.
In Lovun Prison, Rein is in her cell when she notices Blyke being escorted past by 2 guards. Recognizing him from their Turf Wars battle, she wonders what he’s in for. The guards escort him to an interrogation room, where they are greeted by Keon and inform him that Blyke was less cooperative than the blonde. Blyke is bruised, apparently having not been interested in coming quietly.
Arlo is being held in a readjustment facility, where he is met in a room like the one John was once “readjusted” in by Farrah. She reveals that Valerie pulled some strings to pardon Arlo’s crimes, but at a price. Arlo asks to be granted an audience with the Council, hoping to report Farrah’s murderous crimes, but Farrah refuses, as a traitor deserves no such privilege. Calling Farrah a snake, Arlo activates his Barrier, but Farrah warns him that if he has any further incidents, he will be killed and his ability will be extracted via conversion tech to fuel EMBER just like Rei’s Lightning, horrifying Arlo. Farrah then activates her Hypnosis, and informs Arlo that what comes next will be less painful the less he resists.
In her captivity in an NXGen compound, Jane is congratulated for her work today by Dr. Calista, who says she’ll see her again tomorrow morning. However, Jane then speaks, which leaves the doctor surprised that she has the strength to do so. Jane states that she hasn’t heard news of her husband or son in a while, and asks how they’re doing.
