Synopsis[]
John is sitting on his bed, a copy of Unordinary in his hands when he heard sounds of shoes clacking. He investigates the noise, only to find Blyke standing outside their dorm. He asks whether him and Remi were okay, going off what Isen said. Blyke assures him they were fine after their vigilante mission goes south. John correctly deduces they were treated by Darren, based on his and Seraphina's experience in being cured by him some time ago. Blyke accidentally blurts out she was there too, with her sister as well. John chastises him for the slip up, with the King can only facepalms himself on his way to Isen's room. Inwardly, John expresses how much he miss Seraphina.
Meanwhile, Isen welcomes his friends' return with a hug, before dragging them into his room. Inside, he scolds them after what happened last time, and plans for them to collect evidences against Authorities. He asks Remi for the amps, when she responds she left them at Darren's apartment. Blyke was surprised at Isen being fired up, thinking he was going to ditch them. Isen says he's originally going to, but can't since they're already too deep in it. He relays the information Arlo told him. Remi doubts his intention, but Isen assures her that they can trust him since he's trying to help them from the inside.
Elaine and her friends are planning to hang out together when she sees a text from Arlo. However, they urge her to not worry about any boys for now. She heeds their advice and texts a quick reply. Arlo, who's standing in front of the school, reads her text and sighs dejectedly.
At the Bureau, Valerie summons Kassandra into her office. She admonishes the latter for needing more time with her investigation on Vaughn, accusing her of slacking up and suggesting that she speeds up the process. Outside her office, Kassandra mentally disagrees with her superior's assessment.
Arlo overhears his co-workers gossiping about Spectre and EMBER, with him thinking he had more intel on the former. Kassandra suddenly appears from behind, surprising him and chides him for listening to the rumours. He answers that he couldn't ignore them since that's what people are all talking about after the press conference. She dismisses it since their department had nothing to do with Spectre and urges him to keep his focus. Arlo notices her annoyance, checks up on her and offers his assistance.
As night falls, they're still at the Bureau, working overtime. Arlo notes that Vaughn had been pushing back on the Authorities, buying some time for the vigilante trio. He wonders why Kassandra being so persistent on taking down the headmaster. He asks her about the junior she mentioned being killed, only to find out it's none other than... Rei. She was surprised at how strong he became, stating she was originally had more belief on his friend Kuyo. Arlo cringes at the memory of the latter coining the nickname Asslo. Kassandra reminisces about Rei, before realizing that even Arlo was fond of him too. Arlo wonders why Kassandra blames Vaughn for Rei's death, not denying that he was not innocent, but points out that Rei would become a vigilante anyway regardless of who's leading the school considering his personality. He directs her attention to EMBER, saying that she should after them if she wants justice for her late junior. She agrees, but mentions their department doesn't have the authority to do that, except through a promotion to the Anti-Terrorism department. She refuses to drop the Vaughn case, telling Arlo to get back to work. He muses that EMBER isn't untouchable if people find out it was funded by their own government.
