I don't trust you.

- Isen, talking to Arlo about why he's giving vague answers

This is the 305th episode of unORDINARY.

Synopsis[]

A busy Darren complains to Leilah about the fact that there are 3 teens and his girlfriend living in his apartment. Leilah reminds him that this will only take a couple days and redirects the conversation to the ability amplifiers that Seraphina found Remi holding as they teleported. Darren explains that he has already seen it before when Vaughn asked him to check the item when Blyke was caught in his vigilante phase. Darren mentions he was unwilling to look into the substance back then, but now things have changed. Figuring that since it has ability-altering properties, he's decided to tinker around the substance and thought it might be helpful to the recovery of John and Sera. Leilah compliments Darren as both of them blush.

Blyke and Remi wake up and head to the kitchen with Sera and wave hi to Darren, while he looks on in annoyance. Leilah introduces herself to the two with a dazzling smile. Remi returns the favor, while Blyke just blushes at the sight of such beauty. He silently compliments Darren on being able to "catch" her. The doc, more annoyed than ever, tells off Blyke and Remi for their return to vigilantism. Blyke tries to explain but gets cut off by Darren saying he's glad he finally left the school of burgeoning criminals. (Remi and Blyke think that a person housing fugitives of the law shouldn't be saying that.) Leilah asks how the teens are faring. Remi responds that they were "doing fine" and bows in gratitude. The gesture causes her arm to suddenly hurt. Leilah wonders if things are actually that great. Remi still insists that she doesn't intend to impose for much longer, but gets interrupted by Darren. He asserts that he still has final say over when his patients are well-enough to leave his care. Remi and Blyke timidly comply while Leilah observes in admiration.

At school, John is sitting in the Safe House, silently worried. Othert students around him are talking about the latest unexplained absences of club heads. As John walks around the school later on, Arlo calls him and asks if he knows where Remi and Blyke are. John contemplates and mentions that Blyke hasn't come back to his dorm. Arlo is taken aback and thinks about the fact that he can't protect Remi from the Bureau if she is already dead. As Arlo walks away, John calls out to him and asks if he has tried contacting Isen.

In the school's boy's dorm, the two knock on Isen's door and get no response. Arlo talks about how he got the same results when he stopped by earlier, not to mention the unanswered texts he sent. But John tells him that you can't ever be completely sure about whether Isen's gone... or just hiding. John kicks the door and both of them are shocked to see the barely conscious Isen lying in his bed with serious injuries. Arlo calls Elaine to help him. She arrives and heals up her latest patient. After finishing, Elaine recognizes that she wasn't thanked for her help, as usual. Isen starts to wake up and sees John and Arlo looking down at him, jumping up in fear. John asks for the story behind the wounds and why he didn't go to a healer. Isen responds with a vague answer about wanting to avoid police. Arlo adds by asking if he went out with Blyke and Remi late at night. At this point, Elaine speaks up asks if she can leave and talks about not wanting to have anything to do with what's happening. Arlo asks about her attitude in her wording, which was clearly clarified that she came off in a wrong tone. She explains that she has always tried to be a part of their friend group, but recognized that they only want her for healing. With them starting to drift apart, she had less pressure to impress them all. She now prefers to focus on her studies and friends and tells them that if something urgent comes up, she's only one call away. She leaves the room, slams the door, and has an emotional moment by herself before going on her way. Back inside, Isen remarks that the situation felt like a breakup.

Continuing their conversation what happened to Isen, Arlo asks more questions about running into EMBER and the state of Blyke and Remi. Isen responds cautiously and gives another vague answer that they're being taken care of. John notices the inconsistencies of his story as Isen apparently can't get to a hospital. Again, Arlo asks where they are now and Isen responds with "I don't know." Arlo has caught on with how Isen is acting and asks why he isn't giving straight answers. Isen answers, with a bold tone, "I don't trust you," which shocks Arlo.
