This is the 297th episode of unORDINARY.
Synopsis[]
Arlo is seen resting in his apartment after a stressful day at office. Suddenly, he receives a phone call from his aunt who just got home from her own work, blood staining her hands and jacket. She inquires him on his first week working with the Authorities. Valerie asks further about his job under the tutelage of Kassandra while cleaning up the blood on her hands. Arlo answers he mostly sorted the document for his mentor, while also learning a lot there. He questions Valerie whether the punishment given to his friends are a bit too much for them. She defends those punishments, saying that they are necessary to set precedents when people didn't follow the rules, otherwise it could lead to more severe incidents. She adds this is all to create a peaceful life for everyone, and tells him to not think about it too much. After the call ended, Arlo muses that his friends were victims of circumstances and not as bad as his aunt thought.
Kassandra exits the readjustment facility with a folder containing files of Vaughn, who used to be known as Victor. From these files, she gathers valuable information regarding the headmaster: he used to be working for the Authorities, at the Juvenile Delinquent department. He was fired for multiple instances of insubordination, before suddenly disappeared without a trace. A decade later, he resurfaced as Vaughn, and rose into the position of headmaster at Wellston. She wonders if this is part of his plan and whether he is planning for some payback against his former employers.
In the headmaster's office, Keene probes Vaughn regarding Kassandra. The headmaster commends her for figuring his identity and plans to stall the Authorities for the time being. Keene wonders if it would be better for him to step down, but Vaughn isn't too concerned for his own safety. He vows to make amends for his past wrongdoings.
Meanwhile at the Safe House self-defense class, John announces to his fellow members that no abilities are allowed, to mixed reactions from his peers. After teaching them how to parry the previous day, he is showing them how to use it for self-defense. Seraphina demonstrates the point by parrying his punch before slamming him down the mattress. John chides her for taking it too seriously, which she argues it was to show the effectiveness of it. He then instructs the class to find their own sparring partner. Arlo barges into the class, demanding a private talk with Seraphina. She asks if it could wait, but Arlo presses on. She reluctantly complies, telling John to wait up on her, with him looking on suspiciously.
At the secluded alleyway, Seraphina wonders what's the hang up. Arlo orders her to get out of Wellston.
