Synopsis[]
Kayden manages to pry open the elevator door, and makes his way to the recovery room. He knocks, and the scientist in charge opens the door. Kayden says he’s been sent to help the scientist out, but the scientist is immediately suspicious and asks for Kayden’s ID. Kayden says he must have forgotten it upstairs, and the scientist tells him to go get it if he wants clearance to enter the room.
Once the door closes, the scientist grumbles about new hires being forgetful, but before he can do anything Kayden teleports into the room, renders him unconscious and stashes him into a closet. Kayden then observes the recovery room machinery and the sleeping John and Seraphina.
The two Spectre agents are informed of a security breach. The green haired male decides to investigate and the orange haired female heads to the recovery room. She enters the room and asks Kayden if anything suspicious has been happened there. Kayden is scared-he wasn’t expecting anyone to come, but maintains his cool and says that everything is fine. She begins to ask him about the machinery, and Kayden fumbles with his speech, making the agent suspicious.
She demands to see his ID, and before he can respond, she grabs his head with her Shadow Claw, internally surprised that the conversion worked. Kayden is about to pass out, but Seraphina awakens and slams the agent into a wall. John checks in on Kayden before detecting something fishy with the agent’s aura- it doesn’t match her ability! Seraphina tells John and Kayden to grab the equipment so they can escape, but the male agent appears and sends a rain of icicles their way. Luckily, John manages to block them in the nick of time by copying his ability. The agent is surprised, as John stares malevolently at him.
