Synopsis[]
John and Blyke's group get pulsed by the ability dampener, essentially rendering all the students cripples except Blyke and Isen, who are now mid-tiers, and John, who is now an elite-tier.
Terrence vanishes into thin air, and John berates Isen for not noticing. When Isen tries searching again, he finds that his detection range is a fraction of what it used to be. Thus their only option is to huddle together so that Isen can sense an incoming attack. It ends up not being any good though, as Evie and Dylan are attacked by two Spectre agents. John begins to chastise Isen again, but Blyke cuts him short, reminding him that two students are being held at knifepoint.
John calms down and tells Blyke and Isen to 'rush' Spectre, while he covers them. The three royals pretend to surrender. With Spectre's guard down, John uses Energy Discharge to wound both offenders. The fight isn't over though, as more Spectre agents emerge from behind.
