Those three are never up to any good!

- Elaine

This is the 247th episode of unORDINARY.

Synopsis[]

Elaine is shocked to find out that John has made his way to Rowden. Arlo instructs her to keep this fact a secret and to leave so they could have a word in private with Seraphina. Elaine gladly complies, and worries about the group causing trouble again.

Seraphina asks why John is still in the area. He reveals that Arlo filled him in on the situation. Seraphina is frustrated her wishes not to involve anybody else on their mission, and John of all people. Arlo defends himself by saying that the two of them wouldn't have been enough, and John chimes that nobody could keep secrets with him putting the squeeze on them. Seraphina is at a loss as to what she's supposed to do with somebody so stubborn. John suggests that she just allow him to help ease her immense burden. Seraphina clarifies that if Arlo was as forthcoming as John said he was, then the danger should be obvious. John promises to be careful, but Seraphina snaps that "careful" wasn't gonna cut it. She felt it would be a terrible loss if John suddenly lost an ability he just got comfortable using again. John wasn't intimidated, to Seraphina's disappointment. He was most unwilling to abandon her during a crisis, which was more worrisome than touching to her. Resigning to present circumstances, Seraphina accepted John's willing aid. The chance to prove himself delights him.

Safe House meets outside the hotel after breakfast. Remi tells everybody to make sure they're ready to head out soon. Seraphina and Arlo join the group a little late, so Remi wastes no time inquiring about John. Seraphina claims that she had a talk with him and got him to return to Wellston. Satisfied, Remi gives the go ahead to move out. While most of the club is excited about a day of fun, Terrence is focused on more serious business. John had actually followed them all the way to Rowden. Terrence keeps a close eye on Seraphina, clearly intending to bring up the matter with her later.

The students arrive at Rowden Park, and Evie is as giddy as ever at the prospect of going on the rides. Remi gives one last heads up to everybody to call her or Blyke in the event of an emergency. Everybody splits up to have fun until 5:30. Remi, Blyke, and Isen begin discussing what attraction to go to first before Arlo and Seraphina ask for their opinion on the same topic. The five of them set out. At the same time, a young man wearing a branded cap arrives outside the park gates.

Earlier, Seraphina laid out a plan for her and her two conspirators to follow. John wasn't supposed to know of her situation at all, so they had to keep up some pretense that he wasn't around. So John agreed to travel alone. Seraphina instructed him to stay in contact with Arlo. Neither boy was keen on the thought of swapping numbers, and John asked why he couldn't just message Seraphina instead. She tells him that her phone was, in all likelihood, tapped. John is horrified at the prospect. An attack within the park didn't seem likely, but just to be safe, Seraphina said that it would be best for them to keep a close eye on Remi, Blyke, and possibly Terrence. Arlo suggested they each guard one, and took responsibility for Remi's safety. Seraphina chose Terrence, who she wanted to question. That left John with Blyke, but he'd preferred to trade for somebody who didn't hate his guts. Seraphina told him that it was his idea to aid her in any way, which forced his helping hand.

Back in the present, John sighs and begins searching the park for his charge. But the place is huge, forcing John to text Arlo for directions. Arlo receives the message, and is dumbstruck by the spelling nightmare on his phone. He replies that they're with Blyke in line for the Obelisk ride. John asks how to get there, but Arlo tells him to get a map. Annoyed, John goes forth.

Seraphina asks Arlo for an update. Upon hearing that John had just arrived, she decides to start making her way to Terrence.
