- Seraphina

This is the 238th chapter of unORDINARY.

Summary[]

Blyke and Remi wish to make Isen their new Jack, but Isen, afraid of such responsibility, pleads Cecile to take the job instead. Cecile expresses her disinterest in the post and reluctance to be associated with Blyke and Remi. Isen is thus appointed the new Jack of Wellston.

Seraphina ruminates on the intense spell of events that transpired since she started working for Spectre. Now aware that her treatment was only ever meant to be temporary, she feels a crushing despair over how her sacrifices may amount to nothing. She wonders just how many high-tier victims fell into their trap. But she reminds herself that there's too much at stake for her to do anything other than see her mission though. Seraphina gets a surprise when John visits her and thinks aloud that she has been rather reserved since he returned. Seraphina, unwilling to drag John into conflict, assures him that her problems are insignificant. John doesn't buy this though, and asks for her to spend some time with him to go over what's on her mind. Seraphina refuses, and excuses herself to go out on patrol. Realizing that he won't be able to be a good friend from within his comfort zone, John tells her that he'll join her this time around. She graciously accepts. John learns first-hand much about how much Seraphina has improved relations between Royals and the student body. Not even his presence was enough to discourage others from giving their regards to her. Later, when the two are walking in the corridors, John senses an aura behind him, and realizes that it belongs to some unseen person approaching from behind...

  • Isen's role as Jack officially commences with Cecile's rejection of the position.
  • It is revealed that Spectre's treatment to reverse the effects of their Disabler is only meant to be temporary, so as to coerce their victims to work for them.
