Summary[]
Seraphina takes rounds of Wellston school to ensure that there are no fights, before making her way to the Safe House. The Safe House is abuzz with excitement for the trip to Rowden. Everybody is chipping in, with Alden preparing the budget list for the trip, Evie finding informational pamphlets about Rowden, and Remi compiling everyone's work. Seraphina privately brings up the feasibility of changing the location of the trip with Remi, internally afraid that Spectre will be up to no good. Remi states that all the plans are ready, and the location cannot be changed.
Suddenly, through the PA system, Vaughn requests Seraphina, Arlo and Remi to report to his office. The three enter the office to see the headmaster and John waiting for them. John expresses his desire to resign from his post as King, and wishes to hand his title to Arlo. Arlo also declines the title, as he will graduate within a few months. Remi therefore suggests Blyke. The others agree to this, even John, albeit begrudgingly. They then leave the office, and Seraphina has a private word with Arlo, where she requests him to join in on the trip to Rowden as extra protection against Spectre. John is suspicious of what Seraphina and Arlo are discussing, and surmises that Seraphina is definitely holding something back from him.
