Summary[]
Remi, under her Superhero alias X-Rei, battles and all-too-quickly takes down Alana who has been terrorizing the town of Lewes. Isen scrambles to get juicy footage to spread later, but is disappointed when there is nothing much impressive. Blyke suggests that they should go after higher-ranked criminals to show off Remi's skillset, but Isen objects, pointing out that Alana's strength was above that of the reports.
Remi has Alana tied up in an abandoned lot and questions her on the origin of the injection wounds on Alana's arm. It turns out that Alana' has been injecting drugs into her system to make herself stronger. When Alana initially resists, Remi attempts to come to a compromise by letting her go, if she stops bullying the townspeople and tell her the drugs' origin.
The chapter ends as Alana brings Remi to a mysterious woman covered almost entirely in black, who appears to be named Volcan .
