Summary[]
Two years ago. John has been expelled from New Bostin High School and is attending his first re-adjustment class at the readjustment facility, under the instruction of Keon. Keon tells restrained John that he’s met late bloomers before, and that while he may have gotten his wish to become strong, he is lost and failing to fulfill his role in society. Angrily, John shouts that he deserves to stand above everyone else, having conquered New Bostin in just 2 years. Keon orders John to sit, then slaps him when he refuses; furious, John head-butts Keon in the face, only to have his face slammed into the table. Keon shows him photos of the students he brutalized, but John expresses no remorse, saying they were punished for messing with someone stronger than them. Keon asks if his friends deserved it too, and shows him photos of Claire and Adrion on the ground, and John says they got what they deserved. Keon forces John to take a closer look, but he closes his eyes, yelling that they turned on him, and that after all he gave them, they should’ve sided with him to the end. Keon asks if that’s really true after what he did, looking into John’s memories and forcing him to relive beating them up after they tried to stop him from going overboard at a Turf Wars fight. Angry, John yells at Keon to get out of his head.
