Alden's Friend is a low-ranked student at Wellston Private High School and a member of the Safe House. He is often seen with his friend Alden.
Appearance
Alden's Friend has blue eyes matching his blue hair and speech bubbles. He wears the standard uniform, minus the vest.
Personality
Like most low-tiers, his low rank makes him a popular target to bullies. However, he is much braver than other low-tiers. While John still reigns as a tyrant King, Alden's Friend is not afraid to speak out against students like Zeke and John himself for ruining the school. Alden's Friend claims that the school was better before they came to rule and that he is tired of being beaten.
He is also shown to have a positive view on the Safe House. He even encourages Alden to join, with their bully Talia being a member.
He is shown to be a good friend to Alden.
Plot
Tyrants
Walking with his friend
In his debut, he is talking with Alden about joining the Safe House. Alden was concerned about the edict John put out about targeting anybody who joined, but his friend said Zeke failed to enforce that order on opening day. Alden's friend was certain that John's threat was a bluff, since nobody could possibly care enough to hunt down every single member. When they rounded the corner, Zeke and John wait for them. Fearful that their discussion was overheard, Alden and his friend tried to casually walk away. Zeke activated his ability grabbed Alden's friend and slammed him against the wall, asking if they still thought John was bluffing. Alden tried to make a break for it, but Zeke cut off his escape route and threw him into his friend. Zeke announced to the onlookers to bear witness to what happens to those who defy the King. Alden's friend attempts to proclaim that only a desire for peace motivated him to join the club, which earns him a punch to the face, knocking him out.[1] While Blyke fights John and Zeke, Alden takes his friend to the infirmary while the high-rankers are distracted.

The next day, he pressures Alden to come to the Safe House with him. On their way in, they greet Blyke and thank him. While there, Alden looks around, he notices Talia, a girl who previously bullied him. His friend explained that Talia wouldn't try anything, as Remi made sure that all members respected the core principle of Safe House. Nobody who wanted to escape the violence in the school could contribute to it, especially against fellow members. After all, everybody who came sought peace, which made sense to Alden. After a little bit of time, they both start to relax and enjoy the Safe House. Their calm is ended however, once Zeke and John break into the club. [2]

Alden's friend and the other students watched as Seraphina stood up to John and began arguing with him about the insanity of his mission. [3] During this attack, some other students begin to stand up to Zeke. Soon every other member followed suit, which prompted Zeke to start attacking all of them. The combined strength of the Safe House members wasn't enough to overpower Zeke. Fortunately, Isen came to the rescue and drove him off. [4]
Square One
Later, Alden's friend gets into a small skirmish outside Wellston, breaking his leg in the process. He is then rushed to the infirmary by Remi and a former bully after getting into a brawl.[5]
Discord
At some point, Alden's friend and Dylan were accosted by Zeke and Mardin. The green-haired bully tried to dissuade his boss from beating the low rankers, in fear they might be discovered by the high-tiers of Safe House. Zeke ignored the warning and continued his assault until John intervened. The former King told the God Slayer and his accomplice to scram. They exchanged some words before leaving. Dylan thanked John for saving him and his buddy as Alden's friend looked on.[6]
